Week 22 is Dalbris' week
Snøfrost Varme Dalbris was born the 13th of April 2017 and is or next youngest girl. She is a busy girl that loves to be petted and several times choose petting over playing with the other dogs, a bit like her mum Fjellbris. Her tounge out in the photo is very typical of her, she has an active tounge, mostly because she wants to lick my face or hands.
This might be my favourite puppy photo. Curious and gentle little Dalbris at 5 weeks old kissing my nose. Photo is a colaboration between me and my husband Truls.
A rather poor mobile photo from March 2018 when Dalbris was 11 months old. She was already used to a bit of harness work in front of the cart. At this time she was still learning and I never thought she'd be a lead dog. But this winter (2019) she suprised me with doing fairly well in lead, still less than 2 years old at the time. Biggest challenge is that she wants to turn around and look at me.
Fortsatt dag 3....
Still day 3....
I was ill this week and things got a bit jumbled up. As a result Dalbris got a 2nd photo on day 3.
Dalbris as an older puppy, she is 8 months here and it's her first winter. She quickly took to the snow as any proper siberian will.
Dalbris on her 2 years birthday. Starting to backpack as well. I don't start them on this activity untill they are around 2 years old. Dalbris quickly took to the backpack and doesn't mind carrying it around at all. She has now (in May 2019) also completed the working pack dog bronze level in the Polard dog club (Polarhundklubben).
Dalbris at 6 months old in the forest right outside our door. We had a nice walk in the forest this autumn day, only her and me.
Dalbris at an international dogshow as a junior. She did well, and has done well both earlier and later too. She has one CAC towards the Norwegian Championship out of 3 tries, and as a puppy she has a group 3 and group 2 as her best wins. Dalbris needs a lot of suppoert in the ring from me, though she is improving all the time.
The last photo of Dalbris week will have to be this one. Happy girl on a warm day during a photo shoot. It shows her lovely strong and straight legs and nice paws. In 1 week time she will enter the first dog show this year, lets hope the judge find her to be a nice example of the breed.
