Happy birthdays to Gaia and Denali
De to eldste tispene i flokken hadde fortjent hver sin bloggpost med siden tiden ikke strakk til får de nå en felles en.
The two elderst girls in our pack deserves a blog entry each, but since time was too short when they had their birthdays they will have to share a joint one this year.
13. juni ble Gaia 10 år gammel. Hun er mor til 3 kull, 2 her hos oss. Og vi har Orca og Såga fra hennes siste kull. Hun ble også bestemor for noen måneder siden da hennes datter Mira (Snøfrost Sagnomsuste Dolly), eneste valpen fra historiekullet, fikk et kull med valper. Det er artig å følge genene hennes videre også hos en annen oppdretter. Her hjemme blir hun kanskje bestemor i løpet av det neste året, men de planene er fortsatt litt usikre.
Vi håper vil kan ha snille og søte Gaia i flere år til.
The 13th of June Gaia turned 10 years old. She is the mother of 3 litters, 2 at our place. We have kept Orca and Såga from her last litter. She became a grandmother a few months ago when her daughter Mira (Snøfrost Sagnomsuste Dolly), the only puppy from the history litter, got a litter of puppies. It is fun to follow her genes down the generations at another breeder's as well. Here at home she might become a grandmother the next year, but the plans are still not certain.
I hope sweet and gentle Gaia will stay with us for several more years.
10. juli fylte Denali 9 år. Denali er den ubestridte dronninga av flokken som den matriarken hun er. Hun er den tispen som mesteparten av vårt oppdrett er bygd på. Denali har 3 kull og vi har 4 av hennes døtre her hos oss (Fjellbris, Naisha, Stjerne og Beringia) og 3 av hennes barnebarn (Huldra, Dalbris og Polaris). Dette er en tispe som betyr svært mye for meg og jeg håper hun vil leve til hun blir minst 50 (noe jeg selvsagt vet ikke er mulig).
the 10th of July Denali turned 9 years old. She is the queen of the pack as the matriark that she is. She is the foundation bitch of our breeding. She is the mother of 3 litters, and we have 4 of her daughters ourselves (Fjellbris, Naisha, Stjerne and Beringia) and 3 of her grandpups (Huldra, Dalbris and Polaris). This dog means a lot to me and I hope she will live untill she turns at least 50 years old (obviously I know that isn't possible).
