Snøfrost Praktfulle Kenai

 
Kenai Fjords National Park på kanten av Kenai halvøya er et sted hvor rester etter siste istid holder seg fast. Nærmere 40 isbreer strømmer fra Harding Icefield og ut i Kenai fjordene, en av de mest kjente er Aialik isbreen.  Her finner man dyr som trives i det iskalde vannet og de frodige skogene rundt isen.


Kenai Fjords National park at the edge of Kenai Peninsula is a place where remnants of the last ice age still lingers. Nearly 40 glaciers flow from the Harding Icefield and into Kenai Fjords. One of the best know is the Aialik glacier. Wildlife thrives in the icy waters and lush forest around the ice.


Snøfrost Enestående Noatak


Noatak National Preserve er en av Nord Amerikas største elvebasseng som er omringet av fjell og har et intakt økosystem.  Området rundt Noatak elven har noen av av de flotteste variasjoner av planter og dyr i arktiske strøk. Elven flyter fra dypt inne i Brooks fjellene til tidevannet i Chukchihavet.


Noatak National Preserve is one of North Americas largest mountain-ringed river basins with an intact ecosystem. The area surrounding the Noatak river has some of the finest arrays of plants and animals in teh Arctic. The river flows from deep in the Brooks Range to the tidewater of the Chuckhi Sea.
 

Snøfrost Storslåtte Yukon


Yukonelven er en stor elv i nordlige nordvest Amerika som flyter fra British Columbia i Canada til Beringhavet i Alaska. Hovedløpet har en total lengde på 3.190km. Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve er en park som dekker rundt 185km av Yukonelvens løp. Her kan  man oppdage et så og si urørt landskap og få minner som vil vare en livstid.


The Yukon river is a major waterway in the north western North America flowing from British Columbia in Canada to the Bering Sea in Alaska. The main course has a total lenght of 3,190km. The Yukon-Charley Rivers National preserve is a park covering about 185km of the Yukon river. Here you may explore some largerly untouched landscapes and get memories that will last you a lifetime.

Snøfrost Ville Aniakchak


Aniakchak National Monument & Preserve har utfordrende vær og ligger øde til. Dermed er dette også en av de villeste og minst besøkte nasjonalparkene. Landskapet er et levende minne om Alaskas lokalitet i den vulkanske aktive "ildringen" som går rundt Stillehavet. Aniakchack har blant annet et imponerende 10km bredt og 762m dyp caldera som ble formet i et massivt vulkanutbrudd for 3.500 år siden.


Aniakchack National Monument & Preserve has some challenging weather conditions and a remote location. Due to this it is one of the wildest and least visited places in the national park system. The landscape is a living reminder of Alaskas location in the volcanically active "Ring of Fire" that runs around the Pacific. Aniakchack has an impressive 10km wide, 762m deep caldera that was formed during a massive volcanic eruption 3,500 years ago.


Snøfrost Unike Beringia


Bering Land Bridge National Preserve er en rest av Beringia, området som dekket deler av Alaska og Sibir og dannet en landbro under siste istid. Her krysset mange arter, og mennesker, fra Sibir til Alaska. I denne parken kan man oppdage et vilt landskap med varme kilder, gamle lava strømmer, og de største kratersjøene i verden. Her kan man gå over tundraen og møte moskus, caribou og tegn fra istidens liv.


Bering Land Bridge National Preserve is a remnant of Beringia, an area that covered parts of Alaska and Siberian and created a land bridge during the last ice age. Her many species of animals and plants crossed from Siberia to Alaska, and so did humans. In this park you may explore a wild landscape with hot springs, ancient lava flows and some of the largest maars in the world. Hike across the tundra and meet muskox, caribou and sings of ice age life.
